Things to Do in Mississauga, Ontario

If you are planning to visit Mississauga in Ontario, Canada you are already thinking in the right direction. Located just west of Toronto, it is a major city in the province of Ontario. The Pearson International airport of Toronto falls within the city limits of Mississauga. A lot of travellers prefer to stay in Mississauga. This city being comparatively smaller than Toronto is very well planned. It is also considered a much safer place with a very low crime rate.

The biggest attraction is the Niagara Falls. Driving distance to Niagara Falls from Mississauga is 105 Kms and it takes around 75 minutes to get there by car. The easiest way to get to Niagara Falls from Mississauga is by car. Taking a bus for a family to Niagara Falls can be more expensive than renting a car. Moreover, you will save a lot of time by driving yourself to Niagara Falls.

If you enjoy wildlife, the place to visit is the African Lion Safari, located 65 kms west of Mississauga. The world famous Canada's Wonderland is also close to Mississauga. It is approximately 41 kms from Mississauga. Canada's Wonderland is Canada's premier amusement park and features over 200 attractions, more than 65 thrilling rides and a variety of roller coasters. Other tourist attractions include the CN tower which is the world's tallest building and free standing structure. The Royal Ontario Museum, Central Islands located in Toronto and Thousand Islands are also worthwhile visiting.
